Ionomers are synthetic polyelectrolytes. These are made up of a combination of electrically neutral and ionized groups. These groups are arranged in a random or structured way. Ionomers are chemically stable, transparent, easy to mold, strong and recyclable. These properties make Ionomers usage important in many end-user industries. They are generally thermoplastic resins and are moldable in injection molding machines.
