Incessant progress in technology is likely to manifest unique results in computing. Integration of quantum mechanics and computing is likely to pave new dynamics. Leading technology behemoths are akin on entering into strategic mergers and partnership deals to attain new advances. In this light, IT titan Google is set to enter into a new partnership deal with leading research and intelligence center, Forschungszentrum Jülich. Based in Europe, it is amongst the most prominent research outfits of Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers. The organization is best known for its unique simulation techniques and research methodology benefitting scientific infrastructure multifold. The entities will collaborate to develop advanced superfast computers. According to Federal Ministry of Economics the duo will be primarily focusing on the concept of quantum computers.
German Economics Minister, Peter Altmaier was quoted saying during a trip to the US that quantum technology and computing are at infancy stage, however, these two technologies hold immense potential for the future. Additionally, leading scientific officer, Prof. Wolfgang Marquardt also opined that quantum computers are superfast computers which have the potential to solve critical algorithmic problems in a span of a few seconds, opposed to several years of brainstorming of contemporary supercomputers.
Google and Forschungszentrum Jülich, partnering in the realm of quantum computing will dedicatedly carry out research ventures and advanced training sessions dedicated to quantum algorithms, technologies, and quantum hardware. Alike several other IT veterans, Google is likely to drive significant efforts towards quantum computing technology to achieve visible milestones. Google is especially known for its directed studies towards development of quantum computers. The partnership is envisioned to further expedite its functional scope in the area. The company is hopeful to strike Google further added that quantum hardware an computing will effectively advance possibilities in artificial intelligence, also contributing immensely towards clean and green technology.
