Unlike usual times, when in this time of the year, pupils prepare for a spring break, this year, most of them in unison with faculty are brainstorming on new and effective ways to tackle the global crisis in an effective way, just as to remain responsive and emphatic towards all.
MIT ecosystem is showing all positivity as tens of thousands join in efforts to adapt to the hefty disruption rendered by Covid-19 pandemic. Pursuing the same, MIT has launched its novel platform, COVID-19 Innovation Dashboard, connecting all its core schools, inclusive of innovation and entrepreneurship wing, directed to research, analyze and eventually come up with innovative action plan to connect and serve as many as possible.
In this line, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship wing of MIT has revved up their strategies, aligning with the challenges of present global pandemic that has taken the world by a rude shock. Even the most advanced of the first world countries are grappling against this invisible micro-organism that seems to have wrecked an unmanageable havoc.
As rightly believed and practiced, unfaltering decisions do not fall prey to frequently changing conditions, even if for the worse. In entrepreneurship, businesses are envisioned to make the maximum benefit with bare minimum resources.
Most of the ongoing projects are centered around developing appropriate means and practices to fight against the crisis with maximum dexterity.
The projects are multi-faceted and address a range of issues such as home schooling, distance learning, also including DIY projects on open source ventilator development, thus developing an action plan for all possible bottlenecks emerging through the global pandemic. As a humble beginning this Innovation Dashboard started off with projects submitted by faculty, alumni, and students amounting to only five projects in the beginning, the statistics for which currently stands at 60.
